West Chester University of Pennsylvania's Twardowski Career Development Center invites applicants for a full-time, twelve-month position as Assistant Director. This position will be responsible for specific Academic Affairs liaison relationships with the Graduate Studies Division (programs and services for all graduate students), the College of Education & Social Work (and DVEC support!), and International students. All Assistant Directors maintain a regular appointment and drop-in schedule, develop and deliver programs, and engage in a number of collaborative initiatives. This position reports to the Director of the Twardowski Career Development Center within the Division of Student Affairs and is responsible for providing programs and services which serve to enrich and enhance the educational experiences of all students as they plan their careers and enter into the job market or engage in continuing education. The Assistant Director also provides services for alumni and other special interest groups that address their specific needs. The Assistant Director will help establish a departmental atmosphere open to meeting the reasonable expectations of clients and ensure high quality of programs and services. The Assistant Director will deliver services and programs in concert with the mission and values of the University and the Division of Student Affairs, as well as ethical standards established by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Master's degree in counselor education, higher-education/student affairs, or closely related field required.

Required Experience and Knowledge:
• Two or more years of professional experience in career counseling/career services in a university/college setting.
• Established record of providing career development support and guidance in individual and group interactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as career services management software and social media tools.
• Ability and disposition to interact favorably with diverse groups of students, alumni, faculty, and external publics.
