DESCRIPTION

The Smeal College of Business Career and Corporate Connections Office (C&CC) is seeking a Corporate Relations and Events Manager to serve as a key contributor to C&CC’s corporate engagement efforts. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Corporate Relations. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to; Provide customer service, manage relationships and provide event management support for corporate activities and Career & Corporate Connections (C&CC) hosted professional development events. Serve as the initial point of contact for recruiters seeking to host recruiting events with Smeal undergraduate students, the position will act as a liaison to various internal Smeal units, such as Risk Management and the Research Instruction & Information Technology (RIIT) Group to assist with event logistics, promotion and to ensure adherence to university processes. Oversee the logistics, planning, registration and execution for large scale events such as the Corporate Partner Career Fair, #MegaFair and Corporate Partner Advisor Board Meeting. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, will be able to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, customer service, communication skills, and a commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Prior event or program management experience is desired. Knowledge of Symplicity Career Services Management (CSM) and CollegeNet is desired. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to support night and weekend activities is required.
