Carnegie Mellon University

The Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) is hiring an Associate Director/Career Consultant to work with graduate students within the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated top performer with higher education and/or industry experience to leverage knowledge in a unique role within one of the most respected schools in the world.

Working closely with the existing CPDC team serving engineering graduate students, you will focus on career development initiatives for students within specific departments within the college. The connected culture between the CPDC and College of Engineering allows for the opportunity to be mobile on and off-campus, meeting the students where they spend their time, and to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The ability to build and grow relationships, not only with students, but with department heads, academic coordinators, faculty, and employers will be vital in this role. CMU retains a robust international student population, so cultural sensitivity and competencies are critical to this position.

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required; Master's degree preferred.

•Five years experience in an engineering, recruiting, or higher education career services role required.
•Experience working with graduate and international students in a student services environment highly desired.
