• Reviews and establishes organizational goals and objectives with the Exective Board to determine the members' needs and the future focus of the association.
• Oversees the entire range of committees and activities.
• Maintains contact with the Executive Board members to monitor and ensure that committeee assignments are being completed.
• Establishes the agenda and presides at Executive Board meeting and general meetings.
• Determines the issues that must be brought to a genreal vote.  Oevrsees the democratic process, casting the deciding vote in the event of a tie.  Decides issues when a general vote is not possible.
• Appoints chairpersons of standing and ad hoc committees.
