The Assistant Director of Employer Relations in Smeal’s Business Career Center (BCC) is responsible for managing new recruiting relationships for the benefit of Smeal College of Business students. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for those desiring to connect with recruiting activities in Smeal, while acting as liaison to various internal Smeal units, such as academic departments and student organizations. The Assistant Director will strategize and manage a portfolio of outreach contacts to develop new relationships for both undergraduate and some one-year graduate programs (MAcc, Master’s in Corporate Finance, Master’s in Business Analytics). There is an emphasis on data analysis and reporting using Salesforce to optimize relationships and refine outreach tactics. The Assistant Director works very closely with the Director of Employer Relations to manage the Smeal brand and all recruiter engagement within the BCC. The AD will coach Smeal undergraduate students on professional development and job search tactics on a weekly basis and supervise a Recruiting Manager who oversees all aspects of on-campus interviewing and job postings for Smeal students.

Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in career counseling, higher education, student affairs, human resources, public policy, business program, or related field. Preferred background in recruiting and/or corporate functions desired. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, customer service, communication skills, and a commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Experience with Salesforce, CSM (Symplicity), and virtual career fair platforms a plus.
