Reporting to the Associate Director, the Recruiting & Events Coordinator helps to organize the campus recruiting program and provides event support for the center’s career and professional development offerings including scheduling and executing logistics for campus recruiting, information tables and career events; working with the Associate Director to maintain employer relationships, corresponding with employers and faculty and preparing reports.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in higher education, university recruitment, event planning, customer service, and experience using a web-based recruiting and job listing management system along with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities include:

Partner with TCDC colleagues to coordinate the logistical details, such as room set up, working with vendors, and ordering food, for all career related events, the Job & Internship Fair, Industry Meet Ups, specialized interview days, Employer Town Halls, and other career and professional development events.
Develop and regularly review event planning checklists for TCDC events, documenting the steps that need to be completed to plan and host a successful event.
Design compelling flyers and other materials for print, digital screens, RamConnect, and social media to increase visibility of the Center’s events.
Update and maintain sections of the TCDC website in partnership with members of the Career Education and Counseling team.
Communicate with various student organizations, faculty, and departments to share event, program, and job posting information to a wide audience.
Perform ongoing assessment of the recruiting program to ensure it meets the needs of students and employers.
Serve as the primary contact for employers utilizing Handshake, approving employer accounts and job postings.
Field phone calls and emails from employers who are looking to build relationships with the university, provide recruiting information, and refer them to the appropriate person for follow up.
Serve as primary contact for scheduling information tables, employer office hours, relationships, and information sessions on campus.
Contribute to monthly and annual reporting.
Perform such duties as may be requested by the Director or Associate Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Such training as may have been gained through a four-year college or university OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Associate Degree or higher preferred.
Some knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration
Some knowledge of the sources of information, methods, and techniques used in administrative research
Ability to carry out, with some supervision, staff assignments requiring the organization of material and development of procedures
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues and correspondence with confidentiality and discretion
Ability to comprehend and apply office procedures.
